| Very Technical Support |
|---|
| This service is primarily aimed at the non IT department of businesses who don't normally need help, but have hit a brick wall on a small part of a task and have no idea where to go next. |
| How it works and how much it costs |
|---|
| Email us
the problem and we will tell you how much work is required
to solve your problem and how much that work will cost, if
you are happy with this then we will do the
work. This is a premium priced service at £200 per hour, yes we do mean two hundred, however it is a "No fix, no fee" service and the time is billed in minutes. The service is intended for last resort usage, it is not for trivial queries and the price reflects this. |
| Internet fora are free! |
|---|
| If it is
simply question on how something works then there are a
large number of fora on the internet where experts might
answer you question for free. Just remember that if you ask a question on a forum, the person answering it doesn't have to answer it, he's doing you, a complete stranger a favour. Your urgent problem is your problem not his. Sometime search engines can't index the forum's contents, this is more likely if the forum keeps questions and answers in a database and has no way to expose them to a searching robot. |
| It appears expensive |
|---|
|
We can offer this service because we spend a lot of time
with various products and probably have a much better
understanding of the principles under which they work.
If you have learnt these principles then answering a question that has been puzzling someone for days can quite often be twenty minutes work. A twenty minute answer would incur a fee of £67, probably less that than the cost of 2 hours of a manager's time. There are no upfront fees, no long-term contracts, just a gentlemen's agreement that if you use the service then you will pay the bill. However we do not guarantee to be able to answer your question or respond to the request within a specific time. |
A simple COM object written in c++ may solve a problem that is practically impossible to solve in VBA.
